Bicycle Transportation Plan

The East Palo Alto Bicycle Transportation Plan, adopted in March of 2011, calls for the construction of a bicycle/pedestrian overpass of Highway 101.  You can reach the Bicycle Transportation Plan through the City of East Palo Alto Planning Division website, or download the PDF of the Bicycle Transportation Plan directly.  Also available are theBicycle Technical Guidelines and the Pedestrian Safety Assessment.

Bay Access Master Plan

The East Palo Alto Bay Access Master Plan, adopted in 2007, calls for the construction of a bicycle/pedestrian overpass of Highway 101.  The original alignment of the overpass in the Bay Access Master Plan, where San Francisquito Creek crosses under Highway 101, was later deemed infeasible.

Capital Improvements Plan

The East Palo Alto Capital Improvements Plan also calls for improvements to be made in safely connecting bicyclists and pedestrian between the eastern and western sides of Highway 101 in East Palo Alto, specifically the Woodland Community Neighborhood area.  The plan is available on the City of East Palo Alto Planning Division website, or you can access the Capital Improvements Plan as a PDF.
